I get it, 4MWB is notoriously known for sucking. I am that vinyl snob that prefers original pressings and tries to avoid digital sources. So, I gave this a spin expecting a flat and compressed sound. Nope, there were dynamics, separation and clarity. Not even close to what I expected. Maybe, I need to reevaluate my life.

Perfect pressing, flat and quiet 180 gram vinyl. I have few pressings from 4MWB and they're all top notch.

Well the pressing quality on my record sounds good as there is no skips or clicks or warps.
.not sure what the source audios are to make the record ? Overall id say the sound is decent not amazing kinda flat .
I wouldnt say this is bad beard .
As for the music :
Miles is playing with an amazing line up on live evil .it really shows on this recording as the music is very tight creative and selective. full of emotion yet performed with careful precision.
"What I say" is pretty cool high energy madness . John McLaughlins guitar playing is smoken & Jack DeJohnette drum solo is has some interesting patterns going on .
the mellow tunes are very atmospheric .somewhat of spacey ballads , you can tell hancock and shorter were involved in those . -
Very happy with the sound quality on this. I only have a few 4MWB pressings, none of which are bad, but they're also not great. That being said, this is the best sounding pressing of the bunch. Super quiet, dynamic, clear channel separation, tight low end, and sparkling highs. This was going to be a placeholder until I could get an original, but I'm satisfied enough with this that I likely won't seek out another copy.
