really great album but my copy has really low volume for some reason ... have to crank it up a lot higher than most records
-
The album is an easy 10/10… one of De La’s best! This pressing has great low end, only rating four stars because most of the skits that appear on the album are missing to cram all the songs on here. That said, at least all the songs are present!

The reason why we cant get a reissue is the conflict between De La and Tommy Boy for the past 10 years at least. Last we heard, Tommy Boy wanted to split royalties with the band 90/10. Deal fell through and Tommy holds the rights to bands first 6 albums. Try looking for it on any digital platform and you cant find it. So only hard copies are available. Which makes it pretty unique because what isn't on Apple music at this point?
Hearing this on vinyl is a decent listen. Nothing spectacular, but good low end. But man, they cut out so many skits, even small ones and if you've listened to this as originally intended its a little strange to not hear them in between the songs. Just silence and the next song. Music is definitely crammed, my record is mint, no flaws and still theres some surface noise between the songs.
Biggest complaint is they took off the intro! Which is one of De La's hardest and most fun beats. Could've taken off Baby, Baby or even Dog Eat Dog, two weaker tracks and kept the intro. -
