Maeror Tri – Subliminal Forces

You are cordially invited to enter the dark and dismal world of MAEROR TRI - a place where imagination is very much alive and hungry to consume the listener in it's drooling maw. Like a revisit to the more ambient live ages of THROBBING GRISTLE's "2nd Annual Report", this is a dirty and fearful place. Maybe we have been transported to a deep cavern, where all is cold and hard, and the very rocks await you like a threat of chilled-cold death. They take you on a strange trip, down visceral parades of twisted shapes and unfamiliar sights, a trip from which there is no guarantee of a safe return. Their sound is marginally less honed and all-consuming than folks like LULL & :ZOVIET :, yet, allowing for the quality drop which goes with cassette, they should be accorded equal respect and lauded from the lowest depths of Hell!
Technically, most of this has either been recorded or later processed backwards. There are copious amounts of delay, echoing out of the grey / black night(mare) to further advance the fear factor of this edgeless journey through mind-messing flatlands. It's composed, in the most loose sense of the term - events come and go, transmuting the overall Death Factory miasma rather than forcing themselves forward in any way. The actual execution of this 'music' is (I assume) quite simplistic and naive, yet the effect is monstrous. You kind of get the impression that this is a collection of pieces honed down from longer sessions, and formed into a brace of long pieces, a metamorphic transcendence from shadow to shade.

Proving that you can do a lot with (what I assume is) a little, MAEROR TRI further their cause and widen their audience.
