Edited 6 months agoFor me, this AP 2024 version from KPG wins the shootout with his OJC 2024. The AP has much more presence and dynamic clarity; instruments feel solid, whereas on the OJC everything is slightly ethereal and lacking weight in comparison. The AP also has better 3D with more air around and between the instruments. The sleeve quality and artwork also superior here.

This is an absolutely incredible pressing, the mastering is flawless, and no fault can be found in the quality of the music. Folks seem to be perturbed that OJC is releasing it this year as well - who cares? Why complain about being spoiled for choice when it comes to wonderfully produced LP reissues? I'm personally a sucker for Analogue Productions, and will be buying all 7 releases in this reissue series. Take my money, please.

Any thoughts on difference between this release and the OJC release, other than pressing plant, QRP/RTI?

It's awesome to have this back in print. The mono mix is great and this pressing sounds fantastic. The stereo is great too, especially on the VMP pressing, but overall I prefer the mono. I highly recommend both though!
