This QUAD release is UNIQUE - as it uses the original and superior CD4 mix that was never released (well, there are reports of some folks owning test pressing on vinyl.
The 8track quad releases used different mixes in QR and Q8
USTQ-5652-QF (QR),
UA-DA178-H (Q8)

The music on this isn't gimmicky at all. It feels like a live show where the instruments just spread out and fill the room. Excellent mastering from Rhino. The stereo mix is also very solid. This album is a great listen start to finish and getting to hear it quadraphonic makes this the definitive version.

Other than the two pop hits off this album, (#1 selling album in 1973, BTW,) I never heard of any of the other tracks. But I wanted the Quadio Blu-ray . Wow. This really blew me away! Stunning quality and surround. Rhino did a seriously great job. Some producers/engineers back in the day really knew what they were doing for a mix like this
Track #3, City County, City, is a fantastic example of spectacular quad. This is definitely a demo cut for your system. And seriously jazz, not what I expected
