Got it for less than £9 on Amazon. What a bargain. Excellent sound production and deserves to be played LOUD.
Side B is very slightly off centre but doesn't affect the playback on my copy. -

Edited one year agoThere are aspects of the original that this cannot match: the masterclass in subtle drumming and percussion from Mike Ogletree and Mel Gaynor, the textured synth, Kerr at his best. Indeed, the original sucked you into another world of intricacy and delicacy, which is not quite on offer here. Nevertheless, it is worthy and the recording, mastering, and pressing on marbled red vinyl are decent. Beautiful cover art.

Fantastic modern, live version of this legendary album.
Unlike a few here, my vinyl copy is perfect on both sides - I even got it for 50% off from Simple Minds' website !!
Quality recording and mastering, very happy :) -
Edited one year agoFirst; a great album, the original studio album has been a personal favourite since the 80’s.
This vinyl pressing sounds at its best when cranked up, but at lower volume it sounds a bit anemic and bright to these ears. But when the volume’s turned up the punchy bass is there and the sound image grows bigger at the same time. Very nice. -
a great album grew up!
absolutely clear sound in a perfect mixing.
the original from 1982 is a great party album - then new version is to listen and enjoy.
Jim's grown voice and the fairy-like but also powerful voice of Sarah are genius. -
Great performance, the art is beautiful, the sound is very good, mine sounds pretty well on both sides. I prefer the original 1982 recording, but this album is a challenge and worth a listen.
