I have been thinking for a long time whether to buy this box. Finally I researched the contents more and decided. The content is different than the classic selection of hits and that appealed to me. I like the short commentary in the booklet for each track, the inner covers and finally the colour plates themselves (I normally avoid them and have the classic black ones). I ended up being really well surprised by the tracks themselves and their versions, it's great. And what really surprised me a lot is the overall workmanship and quality of the pressing and especially the sound. This is really cool and I wish this kind of performance was more frequent and one could just enjoy the music. I'm not some big Madonna fan, but I like this and highly recommend it.
Played on:
Technics SL-100C, Audio Technica VM-95ML (occasionally VMN95-E or C), Rega Fono Mini A2D MK2, Technics SU-G700M2, Yamaha NS-777 -
love this ❤️ never bothered to buy some of her maxi-singles just for that one remix so this collection was a must-own for me. and making this a remix compilation was a great idea cause we've had countless madonna compilations. also love the rainbow theme here, it's just a no-brainer. no complaints about the sound quality.

UNINTENDABLE, Incredible that the year 2023 DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO COMPILE in a box. They have put 4 songs per side and EDIT versions. You cut something totally useless and they charge a fortune for the box. A missed opportunity, in my case I have all the maxis, but it would have been excellent to crown 30 years compiling the full versions that correspond (club mix) a truly amateur job

I love it, all her hits on 6 lp’s, and in rainbow! I already loved the 2 lp edition. The only thing I hated was that the book inside had 2 tears, like the person in the factory was too rough with it. I fixed it, I see it, probably no one else. But how are you going to tell this to your dealer, opened it after seal and see that and didn’t do it myself.. right. So glue, pen it is. These factory things happens with me before so makes me think of not buying super expensive records sealed, you never know what you are going to get! But all of the rant this album is good, fun and you have all the Madonna hits in one. I say go buy it! 5/5. (For the book 4/5)

Since ordering on amazon Ive gone to multiple record stores out of curiosity of the price in person and this box set goes for minimum $300 so grab this amazon deal when you can. All the vinyls are beautiful and sound great. i love all the album artwork in the booklet as well.

I finally got this from Amazon US, but they shipped it from UK, so that’s why I got the Made In Czech Republic one. Since I don’t have any reference, I am really happy with it. The sound so far - 5 records, is amazing. Very wide soundstage with plenty bass. As mentioned by others, the disc was inside the colorful sleeves instead of in a separate black paper. I am fine with it because I have record sleeves that I use for all my records. Currently this edition is on sale for $150 on Amazon US and I highly recommend it if you are Madonna’s fan.

I think this is a great box set and remaster. There are issues yes, but overall, I do feel it’s worth the price I paid for it ($129).
First, the sound is very good! Very punchy, bright and dynamic. My mom even commented on how great it sounded. It sounds so good on my system! The remaster is similar to her “Celebration” 4 LP set she release like 13-14 years ago, It’s very crisp, clear and balanced, but THIS release sounds more full and 3D, it fills the entire room! There is very very light surface noise, and very few clicks and pops, at least on my copy.
The booklet is so cool. The pictures of all her single covers are in very high definition format, and the best inks were used to print the booklet, as the colors are vibrant and clean. I LOVE the little tid bits about each remix and it’s a great touch to the box!
Others are complaining about how each vinyl in the USA made sets come in a poly lined black sleeve and separate color coordinated pictures, whereas the Czech made sets (the one I have) have “plain and cheap” paper sleeves with the pictures printed on them. I disagree. They are paper, yes, but they seem to be coated with something that makes them more pliable (wrinkle resistant), smooth and soft and reminds me a lot of poly lines sleeves. They are not your run of the mill paper sleeves, as these seem to protect the vinyl itself pretty nicely.
The vinyl colors are super bright and colorful, and yes, not all are translucent, but that’s not really that big of a deal as the colors are pretty and some are neon, like the yellow and green. They are heavy gram with deep grooves.
I do wish they would have included a lyric book, and perhaps a lithograph. It would have been cool to have the lyrics printed on the back of each sleeve (coordinated to the songs on that LP), and also having each vinyl sleeve numbered to help keep them in order. Also, it’s a little awkward getting the sleeves out of the box. A little slot cutout on the bottom part of the box would have made that easy, as I’ve seen that done with other box sets.
Overall- worth every penny and I’m so happy with this release, as it’s so rare for M to release anything like this. Seriously, I predict in a month or two, these are going to go up twice as much in price and in a few years be worth a lot more than they are now. -
Edited one year agoMine it says 'Made in USA' (not 'Made in Czech Republic')... Furthermore, I ordered mine from Madonna's website. But thankfully it didn't get to customs - it was sent within the European Union. Arrived in a yellow pad bg and within a carboard box. I didn't open it as yet to confirm if includes the polylined black sleeves. Must gain some courage to unfold it. :)

Edited one year agoSometime they will compile something right with the corresponding maxi versions and extended times. People are tired of "edit" and Radio edit". For that, they buy a variety of these convention compilations, it's sad that they continue to do things wrong with the money they take from people. The rainbow is very nice, but sometimes they put the Remix versions that are useful with the corresponding times. The example is depeche mode put the 12" versions in their boxes Congratulations to them a good job. This seems like a disaster to me

Edited one year agoThis should be listed as Czech Republic and a separate listing for Made in USA/Canada as vinyl was in Black dust sleeves and the Colour sleeves were empty. Just like the Red/Black vinyl box previously released.
