Interesting that they recorded this to analogue tapes in '93, I would have thought they would be using digital by then.
Great sound quality, and great performances!! -

This GZ switch probably makes a lot of sense why I have two discs one color and two discs a different color. At least the LPs sound good. Optimal polishes their stampers so this GZ pressing may sound slightly better.

My copy has a duplicate LP of Side C and D and is missing the LP with side E and F. Anyone else with this issue? -
Truly fabulous mastering and pressing. This takes the original CD I had and brings it back to a new, better life. Super dynamic, great warmth and intensity. The additions of the Side H songs are also a nice touch, as I previously had them (Eagles Fly and Mine All Mine) only in digital format, as they were only available on Japanese releases (never had The Dream is Over).
Price tag was a touch high IMO, but that happens with four discs. Everything I loved about this album and the only thing I disliked about this album from when I was in high school all still ring true (Hagar singing Diamond Dave songs, aside from Ain't Talkin Bout Love, still doesn't work). -
What a bummer to realize that some parts of the pressing batch is done at Czech GZ or URP. -
I was very pleased with this release! It sounds clean and seems to have had good quality control! I do wish it was just a box set, though, instead of this unwieldy quad-fold sleeve.
