I’m very iffy about cover records but this is the most vital I’ve heard the junkies being in maybe ever. The Gram Parsons cover is turned upside its head. It sounds like mid 90s Garbage in a good way. The rest of the record sounds similarly inspired. Agree with below poster that side A is stronger.

I think the batch sold by Amazon US is a bad pressing run. There is the exact same repetitive noise at start of opening track "Five Years", and then another much louder repetitive noise at the end of "Marathon" on both copies I tried. Thanks again, GZ Media. Otherwise an incredible sounding record. Maybe others will have better luck.
