This is how modern "regular" LPs should be. Good, clear recording and production pressed on decent vinyl.
-
Edited one year agoDid not experience the serious noise issues others did. It’s not super quiet but more than tolerable. A few ticks and pops here and there. Grading on a curve with most modern releases in of noise I’ll take it. Best sounding Sturgull vinyl after VMP High Top Mountain. Arguably his best album as well.
-
Great album tough pressing. Sounds used with the amount of cracks and pops. Maybe a run through the spin clean will help.
-
My copy isn't too bad. There aren't gaps between songs to really get a feel for background noise, but this also means I can say that surface noise is not generally noticeable during songs. I do hear some pops/clicks on the beginning of side 2 as another reviewer mentioned, but I have heard much worse. I did wood glue before I ripped, so the record is clean.
-
The indie vinyl version is really sub par. First copy I had there was a repetitive blurt of distortion throughout the last track of side 1 and the first couple of songs on side 2 are very noisy with snap, crackle and pops throughout which tapers down somewhat by the 3 track. I went to exchange this and while my side 1 is now problem free, side 2 has the same pressing noise as the first copy I exchanged. This is even after a rigorous wet/vac cleaning. Sounds like the black vinyl version is the one to get.
-
My copy is very noisy throughout the entire record. Not unlistenable but a lot of surface noise (even after wet cleaning) . Especially when compared to the black variant which is silent.
-
Excellent sounding pressing. Virtually no surface noise even before wet cleaning(probably helped by the included poly-lined inner). However, one label has terrible bubbling that prevents the record from lying flat on the platter. Luckily I have a clamp to secure it; otherwise, it would be returned.
-
Vinyl is clear with a beige-ish tint to it. Is that what is meant by "natural vinyl?" Colour questions aside, disc sounds nice and clear over here.
