“whatever” sounds massive. seriously so. if not for anything else, that one is worth the price of ission.
can’t wait to see them in ‘25. -
-
Held off buying this for a bit due to negative comments, but I have to say all 3 records are flawless - and it sounds pretty darn good to me!
-
For a live show this record sounds nice. It really feels like you are in the crowd. Must have for any Oasis fan.
-
Due to actually being there the nostalgia effect is high for me when listening to this.
ittedly it does sound a little flat production-wise in the same way that other Live recordings do.
Overall it's held in high regard in this house -
My copy has three perfectly flat platters. It sounds like most big stadium live albums. It’s a slightly muddy mix that lacks any serious high end, but it’s best played cranked up. But looking at the complaints dept here it sounds fine. Drums and bass are fine. What are people playing it on? A gramophone? Sounds solid on my Technics SL-1210 with Shure WL cart through a Pioneer A-307R into Mission speakers.
The artwork on the main sleeve let’s it down in comparison to all the other Oasis sleeves. The stage shot has photoshopped images mixed over each other in strange locations. Why not just do a collection of a dozen photos? Strange. The cover shot is like a bootleg. Pretty mundane and lacks imagination. The music is the main thing I guess. It’s in the same trifold style sleeve as Familiar To Millions but that has superior artwork. It’s expensive too but it will be double that in a year or two!
Had to transfer the vinyl to my Mac using Audacity as there was unfortunately no . No brickwalling which was nice.
They played two nights in Cork, Ireland on August 13 and 14 but I can’t which night I attended, the 13 I’d bet on!
I don’t care what people say, the first two Oasis albums are the best and the live tracks from them are nicely captured here on this triple platter souvenir. If you’re a fan, buy it or now regret it! -

This is amazing. Wish I could have been there, live. Crank it loud, close your eyes, and slide away!
-
Brilliant. All the butt hurt vinyl snobs should go back to their caves. Accept it for what it is, a live recording, it captures the moment and sounds great. If you like oasis you’ll love this.

Edited 3 years agoThe sound is a bit poor however I guess I bought this because I went to Knebworth, as a sort of momento of what was a historic event, rather than for an optimum listening experience. I guess you have to bear in mind that it is a recording of a live performance which probably wasn't recorded with the intention of it being released.
