Great album, flimsy packaging, each cd in a cardboard sleeve and the liner notes also jammed into one of the sleeves

Revolving around the death of a close friend, this album is sad but not depressing. It may lack the raw power and aggression of the earlier Mastodon but the amazing songwriting makes up for it. Don't worry about the double album format : this one has no filler. And it comes at the same price as a single album. That being being said, I'd rather pay a few extra bucks than getting this cheap digisleeve which is prone to cause scratches on the CDs. Well, at least it has a nice artwork and CD text (which I find very useful when listening in my car).

Edited 3 years agoPurchased the album direct from the band, I ordered the vinyl record album. Beware as they ship in large boxes and completely not secure. The album bounced around in the box via transport and the sleeve was damaged. -
