According to sources (see submission notes), this is the only Super Deluxe Edition that contains a copy of the 1969 mastering of Glyn Johns' "Get Back" album, rather than a version utilizing the subsequent 1970 mixes, which was contained in the SDE boxes released to the rest of the world. This Japanese 1st edition features a blue sticker on the front, and does NOT have a small, white, round sticker on the rear insert. Additionally, the matrix number of CD #4 in this box, the Glyn Johns mix [UICX-75440 1], was changed for the second edition [to UICX-75440 2].

Edited 2 years agoThis is the only version of the boxset that has the actual 1969 Get Back mix on it.
During the covid-delay of this set, Glyn "remastered" this by using the later 1970 mix tape, wich introduced a lot of continuity errors. The most notable being "For You Blue" wich uses a new vocal recording of George from early 1970. -
Edited 3 years agoSellers, make sure you offer the first edition boxset here ("new music fridays" sticker, no white dot on the back) and not the "corrected" one later reissued in japan.

Great to get the more authentic version here. Plus the CD's come in polybags inside the covers. Small detail, but important if you want your CD's to stay scratch free.
