This has been in my collection for a couple of years now. I read so many bad reviews I had to listen from beginning to end. To me it sounds fantastic! From the hand claps to the acoustic guitar all the way to the bass and cymbals. Crisp, clean, clear and well balanced with great separation. Even the harmonics on “Oh daddy” are superb. I’m guessing that there must be some bad runs on this. Mine is golden to go along with the gold vinyl.

Ok, that was a very impulsive purchase. Thanks to this community I now always checking the records reviews before buying it in places like Target or Walmart. This one was no different from what the biggest part of reviewers here had. Returned the record next day and bought the 2023’s reprint of the Dark Side of The Moon which turned out to be a marvelous piece of art.

A lot of surface noise (specially in quiet parts) and some distortion in a couple of tracks in side 1, though that my stylus was misaligned for a moment, but the ortofon blue is pretty good in showing this problems.

very audible surface noise almost overpowering music on quieter parts, hard to listen to with headphones

Not of a bad pressing from target. Quiet and no surface noise. My only complaint, is just the audio sounds a tiny bit muddy or muffled. Idk is it's pressed from the original analog tapes, but either than that, it's not a bad pressing.

This is easily the worst sounding new vinyl I have purchased. There is crackling and distortion throughout the album. I'm assuming this is a bad pressing but it sad such lack of quality would happen on such an iconic album.

I no longer own this.

Overtime, and especially with a better turntable, I've noticed the sound on this release is somewhat muffled. Yeah, it still technically sounds good, but it feels like someone threw a blanket over your speakers. A shame that this seems to just be how this release is. Bought a copy of the 45 rpm pressing to hopefully replace this one

Fantastic sound. Yet again, an impulse buy from Target turns out to sound fantastic. Dynamic sound, a gorgeous record color fitting for such a legendary album, and a cheap price make this a must-get.
