I'm a big fan of early-generation non-remastered CDs or vinyl when the original mastering is done well. This 1985 WG by Polygram is okay at the very best. The original mastering is too flat and has a very dull soundstage. Very disappointing. I the original vinyl being a little better, but not by much, IMHO. I'm going to try a remastered version, which is not my first choice. However, when an original master was not great from the beginning, I'm open to trying a modern remastered version!
