I guess the only purpose for the title track was to make money because it was on almost every compilation during 10 years!
I feel that in of making real music, follow me was the track they aimed for. -
Edited 11 months agoThe instrumental of Right In The Night is pretty decent, it adds several extra synth lines. It is not just stripped of the vocal. Coupled with Follow Me, makes for 20 minutes of choice listening.

Echoing all the other reviews here - It's all about "Follow Me" for obvious reasons...however if you love it and (grudgingly) it to *kinda* also liking "Right In The Night", then make sure you check out the "Jam & Spoon Remix" version if it...it strips the song of much of the cheesyness, leaving it more bare-bones and much more Jam & Spoon-sounding. It's definitely aged better than any of the other versions of the song.

Follow me: nothing more to say. The ultimate trance track, something that hasn´t really aged too much.
Right in the night: rating it like a fairly average eurodance song is really lowering it and probably said by someone who does not really know what an average eurodance track is and the crap that was around at the time.
This is all but average: the production, the arrangement, the lyrics and the singer. This one was and remains one of the highest quality peaks of the genre, way higher of almost anything that was out at the time.
Of course everybody has its own taste but still, at a production level, imo, this is still amazing.
And, as a personal consideration: at the time i was just a kid buying vinyl and playing it at private and school parties and I loved it when I bought a record cause of the a-side and then I flip the wax on the b-side and :o :o :o oh my god..... shocked by follow me, 12 minutes of pure pleasure..
this is why today this is one of my most consumed pieces of wax and it still plays great! :D

We have never done as strong in of trance, at least that's my opinion, and yet this jewel dates from 1993 !
Whether in club, rave, club, festivals and other gatherings of trancoids, this single causes a real tidal wave, a trip into the subconscious, a distant inter-planetary trip or a cure for all your anxieties !
The Jam & Spoon are a legend, a myth ? They are the precursors of the future trance music !!!!!!!! -

Edited 2 years agoFollow Me! has lost none of its potency over the last 23 years, and for me is probably one of the best trance tracks ever made. Trance as a genre has got a lot of stick over the years, and rightly so given the sheer amount of shit that was pumped out in the late 90s and beyond, but when done right the results can be spectacular and mind expanding. This one will always stay with me. Thanks guys

The other reviewers are not kidding about "Follow Me!" Just heard it for the first time a few moments ago. One of the most well put together pieces of music I've heard, electronic or otherwise.
"Right In The Night" is an excellent track in its own right as well with an unforgettable acoustic melody.
