Edited 5 months agoI may be unlucky, but mine is annoyingly crackly throughout, the same kind of crackle you get from a bad pressing or a sleeve causing a chemical reaction. You'd think this would only affect two sides at best but all four sides do not play right. Strangely this mostly affects the quiet parts, and the music doesn't mask any defect in the louder parts, by the way.
Whether it's on a run-of-the-mill Ortofon DJ cart or a painstakingly well aligned hi-fi cart with a Microline stylus, it sounds like utter shite crackle wise. It's a shame because the music and mastering is unbelievably good. It's the audio equivalent of shoving sand in a Champagne flute.
I've bought it mint when it came out, so I can't say about the represses.
Currently working on removing the worst parts in a needledrop to get something at least playable for an audience. A nightmare. -
