Not sure what some people here are on about, my copy is flawless, like pretty much all Gondwana records. -
Edited one year agoI can only think some people got copies with no-fill or dirty out of the factory, or just static issues, mine sounds absolutely pristine from start to finish. Very low noise floor, beautifully balanced piano sound, it's stunning. If you're referring to the clicking notes and ticks in the music, those are intentional, there is a clock in the background, and the clicking is the piano hammers moving, the mics are fully within the piano, it's intentional to bring another layer to the music.

Lots of pop... one of worst pressing that I own. The music itself it's just otherwordly good.

Edited 4 years agoAs the clear vinyl version has gotten some negative comments, can anyone comment as to the quality of the black vinyl? I tend to have bad luck with clear vinyl, the one exception being the stuff that the Bella Union label puts out, which is always quite good regardless of color.
Edit: Bought it before seeing the other comment below. Wish I would have waited. Horrible pressing -- after two good cleanings it still sounds terrible. The surface noise is just brutal, considering that this is a brand new record. A shame, because the album itself is beautiful -- one of my favorites of 2020. Skip the LP and just get the CD.
