Edited 5 months agoAgree with previous comments, tracklist on the original is better (the version of Buggin' on the original is way better), was pretty disappointed when i heard this version.

Heard lots of good things about this 5.1 mix. Got to say I'm not that enamoured. It has a gimmicky rather than immersive feel to it. The 5.1 is handled very heavy handedly IMHO. Some tracks sound great, others a bit of a mess tbh.

I don't care if this is remastered w/ bonus whatever, I find this to be a far inferior version of the album. While it rids itself from doubling up mixes on two of the songs, I believe it chose the inferior mixes of said two. More importantly, it lacks the remixed version of Buggin', which is one of my fav cuts from the original CD. Slow Motion is a kinda dull track, and the album overall is a less impressive listen, due to the (seemingly minor) track order changes occurring early in the album. The only reason to purchase this is the 5.1 mixes, provided you can actually make use of them. Final word: purchase the original CD first, then consider whether you need this release or not.
