I produced these two songs in 1977. Janice Medlock had written the two songs and had financial backing to have them recorded, using Ultrasonic Studio in New Orleans. I hired my friends, Bunchy Johnson - drums, George French- bass, forgot pianist name, maybe Al Bemiss and we did the rhythm tracks. Then Wardell Quzergue wrote the arrangements, and brought in great players, I will have to really dig to names. Wardell did a great job in all respects. Then Tommy Ridgely came in and sang the songs. Tommy was not knows as a "scat" singer, but he did some scatting on "Lay It On Me Nola." I put out the 45rpm record on my Sound Of New Orleans label. Tommy was one of my earliest friends in New Orleans. Great guy!
