Edited 6 years agoThe thing about this pressing is that there is a matrix number, it's just that the silver doesn't extend far out enough to see it. If you shine a light on the center ring in just the right place, you can make out part of a number (2) and a star, but that's about all that I could make out on my copy.
The number, shape of the star, the block and line that you can see directly after it, looks like they were using polygram glasswork in this pressing. Perhaps the same glass as the West German copy? I'll go ahead and a pic of what little you can see of the matrix. It's a bit tricky to get this photo since there's no silver there and I'm having to angle a light and camera exactly to get it, but it is what it is.
