Edited one month agoSo happy to find this 1973 Canadian original in excellent condition with RL in the runouts and it did not disappoint. Dynamic and everything EQ-wise in the right place, soft highs, good lows without being too bassy, sweet mids, good instrument separation but everything gelling together in a musical way. This is my 4th copy of this album, each one has different characteristics emphasized, but I think this one is the most balanced and musical, and as someone mentioned below… mystical at times

Question: if RL is not in the deadwax, did he still cut this? I have one without his initials but it sounds insanely good. Thanks -
great pressing. the song remains the same really jumps out of the speakers and the rain song sounds so mystical. you can also really hear all the layers of keyboards and everything during no quarter -
The biggest most open and balanced sound of any of the OG Zeppelin pressing I’ve heard. Lucky to have it in excellent condition. Some surface noise but it’s early to mid 70s us mass vinyl.

Excellent pressing, sounds huge. The sterling RL in the deadwax tells me this is a Robert Ludwig pressing. Probably a first, or very early pressing using the US stampers.
