Edited 4 months agoFunky and bass heavy. Very good instrument separation. Another great Canadian Pressing. No clicks or pops

the high end is quite muted on my copy, i've come across another of this pressing with the same problem... has anyone had a similar experience? am i better off with an american pressing?

Classic record - Herbie really brings on the funk with this one.
Some great instrument separation and the synths sound especially great. There is some overall flatness to the recording and lack of upper-end although side 2 is much more dynamic I also notice distortion in places (crescendo of Butterfly) but my ortofon 2m red cartridge may be to blame for that. -
Edited 3 years agoJust scored a $5 copy of this spectacular album. I owned it on CD since a long time but I cannot stop spinning the record since I got it. The bass, electric piano and synths are just so real and lively and the music is so crazily funky. I think I even prefer this one to the much more popular Head Hunters record. You must have this.
