Excited to see what they’ll do for the 20th anniversary, later this year. It’d be cool to see them do a boxset like they have with the recent vaxis albums or one like TCBTS and The Afterman; rather then the color variants we’ve gotten for TSSTB and IKSOSE:3 Whatever it’ll be i’m sure it’s gonna be awesome!

A couple clicks and pops but honestly this sounds really good. I would much rather have that on a quality master than a quiet flat copy that sounds digital.

This a great album, well layered and executed. However this pressing certainly has some issues.
        The good.
Tracks 1 and 2 really shine, with full sound and good staging, clear mids and detailed bass.
        The bad
Quality control seems to be a big issue with this pressing, my disc 1 is not centred fully, others have stated warps, and the records come pretty dirty from the factory.
The vocal reproduction is not what I was expecting, there is a lot of compression and semblance in the lead vocal, a real shame.
With the exception of tracks 1 and 2 there is a real lack of dynamic range and the record feels very compressed, may be the most 2000s recording style and processing, and the soundstage is pretty middle of the road.
The record is relatively noisy, lots of crackles and surface noise.
Overall this master sounds a little hollow like it's missing something.
Overall worth having in the collection but not the quality I was expecting, if you can pickup a copy at reasonable price it's worth a buy.

Great album. But the mix on 2017 remix/repress feels like it lacks some low-end punch. Really have to play with tome controls to get pinch without it getting muddy.

I'm really impressed with this one! Has been one of my favourite albums for years now, and it's really nice to add it to the collection. No real audible flaws to write home about. If you're new to this one, it'd be a great gateway into the Coheed and Cambria mythos; you might even feel inclined to pick up The Amory Wars! This album did it for me!

Sounds great! I do think there’s some depth missing here. But maybe my system just needs tuning. However I did have one minor issue. The Side III label is on both C & D sides. Luckily you can see the etched “-C” and “-D” on the vinyl to tell which side is which. Still a great pressing! I’m certainly happy to have it in my collection!

I was struck immediately by the violins, so much clearer and piercing than on digital. Took a lot of tweaking the EQ to get rid of cloudy muddy low end, but then I realized: volume. You really need to push this for it to shine. The bass drum is still kinda shit, but that’s gotta be the recording. A totally decent pressing!

Got the new pressing - sounds great, and is a shockingly good press for GZ (though it needs to be cleaned a bit).
Get it now before it goes out of print again and shoots up in cost.

Snagged this the other day and can't get enough. Disc is super flat plays great. The high tones in always and never were incredible. Having heard these songs countless times before I can honestly say listening to the record was nostalgic and worth every penny.

This is actually a really nice master by RKS. I actually heard something I've never heard before, as cliche as that is to say.
Disc is flat and pretty quiet for a $30 record. Be persistent in your pursuits.
