Sounds better than expected.
Great collection of songs although Pop and Zooropa Singles are missing. Really miss songs like "Staring at the sun" etc, still worth buying. -
Edited one year agoI like this set a lot. Some songs sound flat to me. No pops or skips. Pressing seems to be great.
Editing! It is a great compilation of their best songs. It is one of my go-to record sets! 😍 -
Lacquer cut by Bernie Grundman, mastered at Grundman mastering. Nuff Said!!! Great pressing! Love that they cared enough to put the records in polylined sleeves and keep the printed cardboard inners separate. That says something. I have a mint 1987 Australian press of Joshua Tree, and a mint original US press of “Boy” and “War”. This beats them all in sound quality. Their early albums (80’s) lack in the bass dept. Not this comp though, the bass Pounds on this! “Boy” was my best sounding U2 record until now. This isn’t “flat” sounding, as others say, at all! At least not on my system. Clean, flat, quiet vinyl with great dynamics and separation. I got no complaints here. And great track list too, although there are several songs that could’ve been omitted for better songs like “I Will Follow”, etc. but they Always leave out great tracks on compilations, to force you to buy their original albums. That’s just what they do. I’m happy

Edited 4 years agoAm the only one who has their second vinyl without label on it? The first vinyl is fine and looks like the pictures while other one looks like a Test pressing with only an empty white label. Matrix is the same and vinyl plays well.

A little heavy on the 2000s for my liking (why all the singles from "All That You Can't Leave Behind" but none from "Zooropa" or "Pop"?) but the gatefold presentation/booklet is really well done and a welcome adition to any record collection.

Decent enough pressing, nothing to write home about but not bad either. Only a tiny bit of sibilance detected.
Good to have these tracks together in one conveniently-priced record. Obviously we all have dream tracklistings, but this is a crowd-pleaser.
