Thrilled to finally own this underrated classic! Sound is quite good for a later era Impulse record EXCEPT for Memories of Lee Morgan which is plagued with distortion. Anyone else have this issue? VG+ copy, visually looks fine and every other track sounds good.

The music is truly 10/10, and so is the pressing. I was absolutely blown away by both of these factors while enjoying my first listen.

I go back to it for these reasons and always will.

If this had come from anyone else except Sanders, it would've been hailed as non-stop spiritual tour-de-force. But because there are no bells or yodelling it get's a bad rap, probably from the same folks who dismiss his other LPs for the yodelling
