Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds – Chasing Yesterday

Fantastic album but this pressing sounds quite muddy. Bass is VERY boomy and it’s near impossible to dial it in to a good spot.

I think this is a stellar sounding record on my AT-LP120, VM95ML, Realistic STA-800, and VS-120 Vega's!

Fantastic follow up album. Nice pressing and every track is a a winner. I actually prefer this lp over the first.

Brazilian CDs: Bad printing, bad hue, wrong fonts. A tremendous work of horror. Stay away from those editions.

At first I was quite reluctant to write anything positive about the technical aspects of this album. Given the fact that the recordings all lack depth, dynamics and detail. Noel’s performance however is always very good and this record is no exception. It is this record in fact where my Audio Technica ATH-M50X headphones failed....sonically that is. Too harsh, no details and fatigueing. The album came alive once I set up my ancient B&W’s DM-7’s again. And what a relief, the album sounds like a record should sound. So the DM-7’s are here to stay for a while. The vinyl is very quite, perfectly centered and flat without any warps. Don’t know what plant pressed it though. It is the EU pressing that comes with the cd packed in a plastic sleeve. Cat. #: JDNCLP18. Bar code: 5052945018010. Too bad the record comes in a paper inner sleeve without lining. Tracks 9 and 10 were damaged so I will have this record replaced. The album grows on you each time you play it. Masterpiece!

Really nice sounding vinyl mastering. Only time I've ever heard a Noel/Oasis album that's crankable. Vinyl is really flat and quiet too. It was mastered at Sterling by Ray Janos though, so this shouldn't be a surprise. (RJ is in the deadwax.) Music is really nice too. If you like the more psychedelic Oasis stuff with Mellotrons, etc, you'll dig this

I just hate when one of the best songs is kept on a second disc that is available nowhere else.
Hated the deluxe edition, because of this. Next time, please come up with decent CD singles at least have this covered and commercially accessible. Only a 7" vinyl? What now, are we back in 1970? Please.

Bit disappointing after his 2011 debut album. Production a muddy mess, vocals buried in pea soup mix.Only 2 songs stroke my muse'Riverman&Ballad Of The Mighty.Genuis songwriter.
