I recently decided that if I could only have one album to listen to, out of all the brilliance that is out there, it would be "Catch A Fire". Deluxe 2LP edition, so both the original Jamaican & the Chris Blackwell UK overdubbed editions - ie, this album gets my vote as the greatest record ever made. by anyone.

I'm not sure what the bass complaint is about. It sounds sensational through my headphones, but I suppose Fostex TH610s aren't overly bassy anyway. There's a wonderfully immersive sense of space and detail in this.

From the shape of the label, I think this looks like a repress, probably from the 80s at the earliest. First original Jamaican press has no outer sleeve.

Perhaps the greatest Reggae album all time ? This is the one that really started it all. This pressing is really solid. I’ve enjoyed listening to it multiple times. Agree with mrbeatle, the sleeve. Trainwreck. And impossible to find in solid working condition.
