This is one of my favorite albums. I currently have a US pressing, the hi-res dualdisc, and now this pressing - which is easily the best. To echo the other comment, the top end isn’t as harsh and there is a lot more clarity on the whole. The guitars really shine on this pressing compared to any other version I’ve heard. Highly recommended. -

Awesome mastering & pressing, with a HUGE punchy crunchy 3-D sound just perfect for this album. 'Nine Million Rainy Days' sounds so 'right there' in the room it's astonishing. JAMC...there is no substitute. -

Terribly high secondary mkt. prices in 2023/2024 for this reissue. Someone forked over $74.99? Technically, it'd be cheaper per album to splurge on the OOP 2014 Demon Records J&M Chain Collection boxed set containing the first six studio albums, a BBC sessions comp, 2 live albums, and a single disc of B-Sides and rarities. The half-speed remastered Darklands in that mammoth box is the same as this one. I have that box and find the overall mastering and pressing quality excellent. -
Was a little nervous about buying this because I heard this label wasn't the best, but I don't know, man.... sounds really good on my turntable. I don't have anything bad to say about it. Good quality pressing, and one of the best records of the 1980s. Gorgeous -
