The Fall – Grotesque (After The Gramme)

Has a fair bit of Compression over the entire mix. Not "Brickwalled" but DR range is single figures. Appear to me all the Superior Viaduct releases are slightly compressed.

Arguably slightly more musical and detailed than the rough and ready Porky original.

The songs themselves sounds absolutely fantastic on this pressing. I haven't heard any other copies yet, but on this one I did notice larger gaps between the songs than digital releases. This unfortunately takes away from the usual seamless transition from C'n'C-S Mithering to The Container Drivers :(( . Unsure if this is the case for other pressings - let me know!

The response I got was slightly more curt:

The audio was supplied to us by the license giver and we always have to use what they supply to us .
The testings (we make them before we go in production) were approved by the license giver.
If your not happy with your purchase, please return it to the shop where you’ve bought it
All the best"

I then asked a couple more questions which no-one responded to, I chased them twice but it's been a month now.

Anybody know who plays the kazoo on New Face In Hell?

Similarly anybody aware of any artist who might have used theremin and kazoo? Would love to hear some.

Bought this edition after the latest MOV disaster (live tracks included by mistake etc.) and I’m so impressed with how this issue’s been treated. Beautiful thick sleeve, superbly flat and silent vinyl. A couple tracks sound a bit muddier than I but this could be deliberate production quirks - ye never know with MES 😇

Has anyone had a response from MOV about this? Is the live NWRA a feature or a fault and, if it's the latter, will there be a repress?

Really bizarre that The N.W.R.A. was swapped out for a live version. I can't figure out why they decided to do that. I mean, it's not a bad version, just an odd choice.

Nothing sounds like this. Never had before and never will. Psychedelic reality. Beautiful truth. The imagery invoked on this album is intense in its vibrancy.
