Notes

New Order's 18th single, released on Factory in February 1989 and the second single pulled from the album "Technique". The remixes on Round&Remix are from Detroit Techno pioneer Kevin Saunderson and were released in April 1989.

The B-side contains the instrumental "Best & Marsh", originally composed as theme for the Granada TV series, featuring footballers George Best and Rodney Marsh.
The CD single also included an instrumental remix of "Vanishing Point", produced for the BBC drama series Making Out.

The artwork mirrors the album artwork but using a different statue. A replica was available as "Little Lewie for New Order" at the Factory memorabilia shop.

Peaked at # 21 of the UK singles charts.

The mastering is more solid and cleaner than the European editions (in track 2 American edition the cold is a bit abrupt)

Look out for sticky discs - my copy of this CD (and many other Nimbus CDs in my collection from this period are sticky on the label side). These CDs were made at a time when there were quality issues due to ink incompatibility. It is common for Nimbus CDs from this period to probably be sticky on the label side and have lots of pinholes in the aluminium layer when you hold the discs up to a bright light. Pinholes are usually handled fine by the error correction on a good hifi CD player, but you may hear clicks on a CD-ROM drive.

Man Kevin Saunderson is such a beast, elevating this monster track to new heights in friggin 1989 in a way that it still obliterates dancefloors 32 years later....

A total euphoric track. New Order at their dance music best. Still packs dance floors at retro parties and nightclubs. A must for NO fans, DJs and collectors.

My copy has the Dutch labels and matrix code, but the outer sleeve is the UK version ( http://discogs.descargarjuegos.org/Neworder-Roundround/release/77671 ) without the barcode printed on the back (just the blank white rectangle where the bar code should be printed).
