The perfect record to play on a stormy evening with candles on, tucked under a blanket with a book… it encapsulates moody, but cosy autumn/winter time perfectly.
May become my most played record with every time I’ll have it on for background music when people are over & those relaxing evenings I mentioned earlier. 10/10 -
So, I have a US pressing and an EU pressing that says made in Czech Republic. I’m assuming the US press is Memphis and the EU is GZ. There should probably be two entries for this release

Edited 24 days agoWonderful album, lovely songs and sounds fantastic. My first dedicated jazz album.
Shame mine is plagued with imperfections and large metallic swarf embedded into the surface. Only just got round to it so hopefully Banquet can resolve. -

I first heard this on RSD while tripping on shrooms with my eyes closed.
It was a perfect pressing that just enveloped the room and my soul.
Jazz Dispensary does it again. Get it if you see it. 10/10 -
Edited one month agoDefinitely a good sounding record (though the superlatives here are a bit much). Do wish all of the horns/flutes weren't panned so hard left in the mix, but overall a great compilation.

Listening to the songs curated for this Jazz Dispensary release is like listening to them again for the first time! Each song is sonic heaven! AverageNerdGuy is correct: you will enjoy this on most sound systems (it may cause some to want to upgrade though). Perfect album to play when the fire is on, your favorite beverage is in hand, and your favorite person is seated next to you. Next time someone tells me they don't like jazz, I'll play this. If they say they still don't like jazz after hearing this, they won't be my friend anymore.

Edited one month agoOutstanding sound and a flawless tracklist. Top-shelf jazz for late nights or crashing after work.
And a perfect companion to Stanley Turrentine & The Three Sounds' "Blue Hour", I might add. -
