Just picked this up and it sounds good. Maybe some parts sound really harsh but the intended rawness compliments it for sure.

Sounds ridiculously good. Absolutely huge. Fidelity is amazing on this one.

People who get upset about Across The Sea need to chill. Go listen to The Rolling Stones Stray Cat Blues instead if you want something to get all worked up about, preferably the live version on Get Yer Ya Ya's Out.

My pressing sounds pretty pretty good. Sure it’s not the most dynamic sounding record, but IMO it properly sounds how this album should sound like.

Record does sound amazing! However, mine has a hiss on both sides, but it is only noticeable in quiet ages (beginning of El Scorcho). I also had to return a copy because of some shipping damage. Other than that, sounds great! #14214.

MoFi objectively sounds great, a well balanced master that highlights Patrick's drums and Matt's bass... but IMO, Pinkerton is first and foremost a guitar record. This Japanese pressing is my go to because it's a dynamic and punchy pressing that is mastered HOT and puts the guitars front and center.

This sucks. Really boomy and any track that dares slow down e.g. No Other One gets ungodly noise. I regret buying this, and I hope you don't. Should've gotten another one but tbh this one's on me. Ships in a paper sleeve (!) and the insert is really blurry, there's dents and it's off-center, this is quite literally the worst way to listen to Pinkerton outside of a copy that does not play at all. I beg you, do not buy this record. It may look pretty, but that's all part of the sham. This is the world's most expensive wall decoration. Two stars because it's Pinkerton. If this were an album by any other band I'd've given it one.
