I wish I knew more about where and when these came from. I stumbled across this version used in a Toronto record store.
The jacket and inner sleeve are very well printed and on a high quality stock that feels and looks much nicer than the currently available reissues that I've held.
And the vinyl itself is fairly heavy, thick and sounds just fine to my ears; although I haven't taken the time to make any real comparison. I'm personally not very interested in coloured vinyl but this particular shade of marbled purple is so dark that I didn't even notice until I inspected the disc at home more thoroughly.
The facsimile UA labels that were chosen for this release are also a nice touch.
It's a great album and a fantastic overall package offered with this release that I'd be happy to purchase over what is currently officially in print. -
If anybody has one they want to separate from, I want it. The purple one.

Does anyone know if the later reissues on Brain or the contemporary pressings from other countries share the same mastering as the original on green label Brain? Or are they unique?
I’m wondering if perhaps the French Philips or Spanish Movieplay pressings would be good alternatives, or perhaps Brain reissues from the late 70s to early 80s. -
