Immerse yourself in 80s era heavy metal riffage! Building on a base from the '88 EP, and not shy about emulating their thrash predecessors, Powermad proudly defies corporate hard rock formulas and ballads while carving out their own path. Tight musicianship, timing changes, I just love these guys even despite the shiny production and confusing cover art. The MoV pressing sounds bright but loaded with bottom end, decent mids. Between the original CD, the cassette, the OG US pressing I'd go with the CD 1st and then this MoV pressing second. The MoV is true to the original except for the fuzzy cover reproduction. However, the artwork is not necessary as aforementioned. Enjoy this because we won't hear from Powermad for another 26 years! -

This album is not underrated. It almost came off sterile and over produced. It is an amalgamation of Thrash done before. There is not a ounce of originality on this recording, even though it is well produced and well crafted. This really doesn't hold a candle to Kreator, or Death Angel, Testament or even Nuclear Assault. It almost sounds like studio musicians and a record producer created a "Thrash/Speed-Metal album to try and cash in on a trend. I love this album but it's too cliche' to be a real classic. -

Extremely good trash metal album! A real classic! This pressing is very good and sound terrific! -

Absolute gem, very underrated thrash album. This has become my go to since becoming bored with Anthrax and Metallica. This is just heavier, and with better riffs.

Surprisingly a pretty amazing album. Sures Metallica in precision and speed in my opinion. Probably one of the first US thrash bands to experiment with offbeat rhythms. Meshuggah vibe.
