This is the record you spin when you want to show off your sound system to the neighbors. -

Overall I was disappointed. It came warped (I was able to flatten using a vinylflat before first playing). Upon first listening, I would say the mixing is poor. The instruments and vocals are flat (outside of maybe the base guitar), distortion affects the vocals, and high sound floor. It isn't unlistenable - I will keep the album and continue to play from time to time because I like the music, but don't get your hopes up. This copy doesn't bring out all the music has to offer. -

Wondering if anyone can answer this for me, did this record originally come in a shrink wrap? Or was it in one of the re-sealable poly sleeves? -

All these people complaining about the vinyl playback all the while spinning it on their crossley record players with the red needle that’s 10 for $5. Upgrade your equipment.
As far as this record goes it’s awesome, Leon Bridges’ sultry lyrics tie in perfectly with Khruangbin’s dreamy sound to create well articulated Texas tunes. -

Mine sounds great, except for a weird skip / distortion right at the beginning of Texas Sun. Otherwise, it sounds good! -

Bought from Amazon and pleased to report the trend of excellent pressings after whatever proceeded! -

Really great pressing for me. Sounds rich with punchy bass. Very clean too. What a wonderful little LP. Purchased recently from HHV. -

i think i'm also on trend with there being a repressing of this, because the copy i bought from my local shop has no issues. there is a tiny warp on the inner ring, but that doesn't affect the playback at all. no popping or crackles here

The recent release 'Texas Moon' was pressed by GZ Media in the Czech Republic so it is possible that 'Texas Sun' was pressed there too? On seeing the here and elsewhere, on the vinyl release, I decided to avoid it and buy the CD instead. Maybe when it has been re-pressed, I will try a copy and see if a thorough professional cleaning brings about a satisfactory result. It's a great pity though. The first time I heard this I liked it immediately and I would love to have a decent vinyl copy. -

Pressing sounds good. Has the ever slightest warp that’s just barely noticeable. Doesn’t affect playback or sound quality
