One of the best soundtracks ever conceived, a few missing tracks but so good. Sound quality is GREAT

Great soundtrack and atmospheric compilation, especially with the radio ads that bring that vibe of the movie and the 60s.
However, the recording of the tracks themselves is not the best (mrs.Robinson for instance is much better on Graduate soundtrack...) and as many mentioned below: the envelops (and photo design of everything except front and back sleeves IMO) is a crap. So, if the expectations are not too high, you'll definitely enjoy it and re-visit your favorite movie experiences ;)

Tarantino serves up the BEST soundtracks in Tinsel Town...This two record set has such magic cuts on it recorded by the likes of Roy Head, Jose Feliciano, Deep Purple, and Vanilla Fudge...AND as a bonus for those of us who lived in LA in that era of Manson and his Family, plenty of KHJ BOSS radio jingles, commercials, and air checks...I was in media all my career and I even worked in the building in the TV division upstairs from the radio station when it was RED HOT...So all of this is special in my brain cell memory banks...PLUS the quality of this limited edition pressing is so, so good...Try to score it for it will be a treasured item on your VINYL shelf...

Fantastic soundtrack from a classic film. Spread over two discs, this gatefold album is very nicely done. Thick jacket and picture inners, (will swap for Mofi, natch). This soundtrack really does take you back to Hollywood circa 1969. The pressing is excellent, flat, clean, centered vinyl with no pops or non fill. There are however some songs from the film which do not appear on the soundtrack album.
The quality of the recordings differ greatly obviously, the radio jingles sound like they are taken straight from AM radio circa 69’. The songs have clearly been ed through some kind of effects/filter to make them sound like you’re listening to them on an AM radio in your 1966 Cadillac Coupe Deville! However, some songs sound crystal clear.
The only negative is the cover art, which is dreadful.
I’ll end on a positive, you get a poster of LA landmarks, which will look lovely displayed on your bathroom wall 💆🏻‍♀️

Bummer that your copy skipped. But haven't experienced that on mine. The sound is supposed to vary. Chunks of the LP are sourced from old LA radio airchecks, including a couple of the songs. But the tracks not taken from the airchecks sound fantastic. Top notch mastering...

Great soundtrack. Unique in that it incorporates actual radio ads pulled from the movie and mixes it with the soundtrack. Some tracks are given a treatment to sound as if coming from radio, if that was the intended effect, so there’s that but I think it works well within the context.

Returned mine - not worth 50 dollars Canadian. Skips on side a and overall sound quality was all over the place.
