The Omega Disk label was a later addition to the original Omegatape reel-to-reel label founded in 1954 by Dave Hubert, who in later years became a high-ranking executive with A&M. Hubert's Omegatape got into the LP business in May, 1958 and released their first stereo disks in June 1958. Their vinyl LPs soon became known as Omegadisks.
