The EMI branding in Finland following Universal Music's acquisition, replacing EMI Music Finland, were different brandings, and were linked to the old EMI company before the acquisition by Universal Music.
Unlike other countries in the Scandinavian region, where EMI operations were sold to Warner Music Group as mandated by EU regulators, Universal Music retained the back catalogue of its Finnish artists.
