Philip Arnold Heseltine. Real name used for his activities as a composer.
He had a close friendship with Frederick Delius who wrote a biography about him (1923) and wrote in the same year, a serenade to mark the 60th birthday of Delius.
For a short time he had a friendship with writer Bernard Van Dieren (1887-1936).
Heseltine had a great interest in folk songs and music from the time of Elizabeth I, which can be heard in his "Capriol suite". He also studied Celtic culture and language. Under his own name he published many articles about the implementation of "old" music.
In 1930 he died from the effects of carbon monoxide poisoning.
