Originally from San Diego, CA, Elizabeth discovered her instrument in the third grade. Growing up in a musical family, she listened to a wide repertoire including Stevie Wonder, Jimmy Cliff, Miles Davis and The Meters. Elizabeth has recorded and/or performed with distinguished artists like Vampire Weekend, the 2014 Grammy-winning Alternative Music album Modern Vampires of the City.
