American record executive, former R&B songwriting/production partner of singer/producer Babyface (1983-1993), and former drummer/programmer/mixing engineer.

After success with numerous acts, including Bobby Brown, the two set up Clive Davis. In 2004 he moved to the Def Jam/Island Music Group, and in 2011 he became CEO of Epic, until reg amid scandal in 2017.

Married to singer Pebbles from 1989-1996.
