American pianist, vaudeville performer, and composer (born February 1872 in Indiana, USA – died October 1913 on tour in Barrow-In-Furness, Lancashire, England).

From 1897 to 1904, Hylands recorded mostly for E. Berliner's Gramophone (1899-1900).

He composed the song "You Don’t Stop The World From Going Around" and the 1905 musical "The Beauty Doctor".
