Mark Mothersbaugh

American musician, composer, singer and painter, born 18 May 1950 in Akron, Ohio, USA. Son of Jim Mothersbaugh.

Formed Devo in 1973 with Gerald V. Casale. During a Devo hiatus between 1984-1988, Mothersbaugh released instrumental solo albums in his Musik For Insomniaks series and began a lucrative career as a soundtrack artist, starting with Pee-Wee's Playhouse in 1986, and in 1994, he began scoring films.
