Philip Hays

Phil Hays (born 1931; died October 2005) was an American award-winning illustrator born in Texas, raised in Louisiana.

Known for illustrations on album covers for Muddy Waters, Bessie Smith, Billie Holiday and Jerry Lee Lewis. Later became chairman of the illustration department at Art Center College of Design, in Pasadena, California.
