Brown has been a versatile vocalist to this day, singing on many R&B, Disco, Pop, and House productions.

In 1984, she started her solo career gaining great success with the single "Somebody Else's Guy", which reached #2 on the Billboard R&B Singles chart (#75 on the Hot 100). In 1985-87 she worked with Snap! (who sampled her vocals from "Love's Gonna Get You").

Since then, her contribution to the world of dance music has been well recognised, working with countless artists of the genre, such as DJ BoBo and many, many others.

Niece of singer Barbara Roy.
