British music executive born June 14, 1949 in Surbiton, Surrey.
In the mid 1970's, he worked as a booker for Pub Rock bands.
- In 1977 he became general manager for Stiff Records
- From 1985, he was marketing and managing director of WEA Records Ltd..
- From 1990 to 1992 he was president of Chrysalis Records International
- From 1992 managing director at Virgin Records UK Ltd., from 1997 to 2002 president of the company
- With his wife Katie Conroy founded Adventures In Music Limited in 2002

He was member of the BRIT-Awards committee from 1997, BPI council member until 2002.
