Hanover Band

Classical Music Orchestra based in Brighton. One of the UK’s most distinguished period instrument orchestras. The Hanover Band was formed in 1980 by its Artistic Director, Caroline Brown, in order to perform the music of the " Hanover Era (1714-1830) on original instruments from this period. Its include some of the leading European specialists in the practice of historical interpretation. The size, make-up and instruments of the Hanover Band reflect the Vienna Orchestra model from around 1800.
